5.0 out of 5 stars A fine performance
Both Williams and Burnside do full justice to these Vaughan Williams pieces, some not often heard. I particularly liked "Youth and Love" and "Whither must I wander", but the entire performance is very good. I much prefer this performance of "Songs of Travel" to Bryn Terfel's overly flamboyant (and manipulated) rendition. Too bad Williams doesn't seem to have the big name...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great music, well recorded
This album features one of my favorite songs 'Let beauty awake'. Williams treats this collection of songs with a delicate passion that transcends the music. The weariness of the wayfaring traveller is conveyed perfectly.

This is a wonderful example of some of the most rewarding and enriching songs to sing. I'm very partial to Vaughan Williams music, and these songs are a great experience for any baritone. Premier English Song Cycle music!
