While this book is wonderful it does contain one very big blooper (which is also repeated in Vol. 2). In the section on 'Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N.', Korkis states: "It was [Byron] Paul who helped [Dick] Van Dyke negotiate a four-picture deal with Disney (Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N. being the first of the four.) However, there must have been some renegotiation, because Van Dyke only appeared on one other Disney film, 'Never a Dull Moment', in 1968."

'Mary Poppins' anyone?

This has a lot of good trivia but it jumps around a lot. Jim Korkis is probably the greatest trove of Disney history available.

Understanding that these are directly Jim's memories or other's memories recounted to Jim collected into a work containing a fraction of these stories - I'm more of a linear guy and like my history presented as so.

MUST HAVE FOR SERIOUS DISNEY FANS!

There is so much about Disney history that is either lost, buried or not known yet. Jim does the job of finding it and writing it when no one else is or can. His knowledge and retention adds so much to the stories he has crafted and he'll even admit that sometimes there is more to the story that he hasn't found, but will let you know when he does!

This book contains things you've never heard and sheds new light on those stories you've heard "a million times." Jim searches the farthest reaches of the Disney universe and comes back with one-of-a-kind stories that are enthralling to read and important to know. For an outstanding and uncensored account of Disney history, you should purchase this book.

I really enjoyed this book as it has first hand information from a writer that has personal experience with the Disney company and family, and has a talent for writing a fun book to read!
