5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Star Wars-loving kids
Bought this for my 5 year old son. He loves Star Wars and he really took a liking to this toy. It required that I help put it together--it comes unassembled--but it seems sturdy enough to be rolled around on the floor. The missiles shoot well. It doesn't come with any droids, but you can buy droids separately and have them sit in the tank.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good addition, February 24, 2009

If your kids enjoy clones versus droids, this is a good addition. It tends to even the playing field against the ever invincible clones. My 7 year old son always pulls this out when playing Star Wars. He likes it "a lot".

After a little assembly and tedious sticker placement, it looks pretty good. The turrets are nicely mobile and stay in position well. The hatch is a nice touch with a lever that is supposed to (supposed to...) jettison an unfortunate battle droid out of the cockpit. There are four missile in front that shoot well and are easy for the kids to load and fire. Another nice touch are pegs on the deck which allow battle droids to stand on the tank. The interior is detailed and will hold a couple of droids. On the back of the interior wall, is a droid (molded onto the plastic) which suddenly spins at the press of a button to change it into a blasted version of the same droid. It was an interesting option which I haven't seen my son use since the first day.

There are a few inconsistencies with the CLONE WARS. The top hatch here has halves that open. In CLONE WARS, it's a one-piece. In the animated version, there is a door and ramp in the back. On the toy there's not so much as a sticker.

The sore points are the flimsy parts. The front armor which reveals the cabin keeps falling off. The two side guns also keep falling off despite the ever handy hot glue gun's best efforts.
