This caught my attention because of the price. It is huge, it had been charging for 48 hours and I finally unplugged it. It does come with the a/c adaptor. This does look like it has been used or refurbished. I tried to call the 800 number on the back of the brochure several times and could not get through. The charging light is supposed to blink when done charging and it does not after 48+ hours. I have very mixed feelings about this and I kind of get the feeling I have been ripped off. To previous reviewer..it does come with a car adapter. Perhaps yours was in the side panel.

Highly suspect this is a refurb from the way it was packed. Requires that the unit be charged for 30-35 hours before use. The LED Charging Indicator is supposed to start blinking when fully charged. This unit has been on the charger for 44 hours and, as of yet, is not blinking.

The lens of the quartz halogen spotlight is about the size of a round car headlight. The spotlight has a high and a low beam. A 3 LED auxiliary light is incorporated into the handle, so it is essentially three lights in one. The unit uses 2 batteries, has a carry strap for over your shoulder, and has an attached, swing-out, workstand attached.

I will try to update this info when, and if, the unit charges and I get to test it out.

1-31-08 update:

OK! Does not tell you when it is fully charged like it's supposed to. Charged for 50+ hours then completely discharged. (This took just over 1 hr on high beam, but of course adequate power was probably around 25 minutes.) Let sit and cool for 5 hours then recharged with the batteries outside the unit. Frequently felt the batteries for excessive heat. Never got very warm. Let charge for 48 hours and still no indication that it was fully charged. However, seems to have plenty of power. Have the unit sitting by the back door and turn it on at least one time each evening.

Worth what I ended up paying $14.99 as but not worth much more.

Just as same as the other reviews,I would like to describe it pointwise.

Positive points:

1. The light is very powerful and can be used for distant viewing.
2. I think for the normal user:
(i)it can be used as a light during electric power failure.
(ii)it can be used as a indoor light for photography or videography by reflecting against wall.
iii)it can be used as a pain reliever as it has a warm beam.

Negative Points:
----------------
1. The item is very big - you cannot imagine this only by seeing through the web site.
2. Not at all handy and very heavy.
3. It is written that the battery requires 35 hrs to get fully charged. But I have charged over 48 hrs, still it is charging.
4. The leds are basically useless.

Overall, neutrally I should say that this is good for special working purpose not suitable for home.

Out of the box, you feel like you're part of a Swiss mountain rescue team carrying such a grand flashlight. It's super huge, not really convenient, but impressive looking.
But that's where the impressive part ends.
Frankly, I could tell that my flashlight had already been returned to Amazon, it was obvious. The auto charger was loosely tossed in, broken in three places...totally unusable.
Still having an usable AC adapter was still fine, so I charged it for two days, and the flashlight is still indicating that it wants more time to charge.
Assuming 48 hours (the book states 34 hours is a full charge) was plenty of time, I unplugged it and played around with it.
Granted, it's bright, but not as bright as you would expect for a supposed 20,000,000 candlelight powered flashlight.
I have a regular plug-in style flashlight, that I use when I'm out camping or other outdoor stuff, and it seems just as bright as this one. My other cheapo flashlight has supposedly 1/20 the power, but seems equally as bright.
Obviously, this flashlight is semi portable, and my plug-in isn't, but after 48 hours of charge time, the brightest setting only lasts for about 20 minutes.
48 hours of charge time, 20 min of light?
I ordered this for around $15, so I'm not out too much money, and I'll have them replace the broken part, but I wouldn't recommend this as usable device though.
I'll keep it plugged in, tucked away in some corner in my garage just charging, and when the power goes out, I'll use it.
Otherwise, what would anyone do with a flashlight that only lasts 20-30 minutes while camping?
It'll leave you disappointed if you have any real plans using it.

Sorry to say this one was a disappointment. Nice bright strong beam of light but, It does not hold a charge for long at all.

Yes, this light is extremely bright, but it's so huge, that it's not practical to use. I'm keeping it anyway, as an emergency light, but had I known how big & heavy it was, I wouldn't have ordered it.

The charging light doesn't blink when fully charges as instructions say,also the manual doesn't tell you to wait a certain amount of time before after charging before using.

I gave this item as a gift to my oldest son. He loves it. The first night he had it charged, his puppy ran off, and thanks to this spotlight, he found her right away. He told me he has never used such a powerful light.

It does provied plenty of light.. However, it is ridiculously huge, and heavy. And the charge indicator never came on showing a full charge, however I have another "husky" rechargeable spotlight and it did the same thing at first. 20 million, my other one is a 2.25 million and is just as bright, I expected something much brighter, I was dissapointed in this. It does have the 12volt output which is neat..well, if you would ever use it, charge a phone or similar small electronic item. Overall an excellent item, just be prepared to use the attached shoulder strap to carry it for very long.

The auto charger was broken and it the product is made out of cheap plastik.If I could rate it with -1 star I would. dont but this, pay a little more and get something better.
