I have to admit to being a bit skeptical about ANY 5x refined butane, but my favourite lighter was clogged, so I thought some butane was a cheaper than a new lighter. It worked! I flushed the tank, and after a few faltering starts a have a flame again. After a couple of days my lighter was back up to snuff. I had been using triple refined, and while that works for some things, I won't ignore this either. This is the real deal, and will save your lighter. (mine is a Colibri)

I tried to use the same approach on a MUCH older lighter, but alas, this is butane, not magic. The trick here is much like dental care: prevention might seem like a hassle, but it beats the alternative by MILES.

This is a great fuel. I used to use a common triple-refined fuel but had trouble with my lighters. After buying a couple cans of Vector fuel, my lighter problems went away.

I can light my cigar torch lighters and rapidly wave them back and worth in the air and they won't go out. Trying that with the triple-refined fuel caused the lighters to go out before the second sweep of my arm.

This is very good fuel. You will be pleased with it.

This stuff will keep even a cheap lighter from mal-functioning. This butane is refined 5 times and in my opinion, this is what keeps an expensive lighter from going on the trash heap.

Could not Colibri lighter to stay lit. Cleaned with canned air, released all the butane and started over. Filled it with Vector Quintuple and it now works perfect... 4 days later still works great. The quality of lighter fluid does make a huge difference.

I have several rather expensive butane lighters and not a damned one worked after the first few weeks. I did some research on these lighters and most of the sites indicated that non-working lighters was usually caused by the quality of butane fuel used. I was a bit skeptical thinking that commercial butane fuel was all the same or they wouldn't be sold. Right? Wrong! Being the "proud" owner of over a $100.00 in nonworking lighters I figured I would at least give it a try. Suggestions were made about the Quintuple refined butane and the Vector fit the bill. I followed the suggestions for clearing and refilling the lighters and now I have three working butanes! The quality of the fuel REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! I ordered two more cans so I would always have plenty on hand. OK, now I am a believer. Thanks.

As an avid cigar smoker, I have purchased several butane torch lighters over the years. I have always used quadruple refined butane which supposedly contained no impurities. After reading an article on lighter maintenance in a cigar magazine, suggesting that nothing less than quintuple refined butane should be used, I purchased the vector quintuple refined butane. I had a couple of lighters which had stopped working. After flushing them, I refilled them with the Vector butane. After a few strikes, they were working perfectly again. Great product. Made a believer out of me.

I prefer torch style lighters and my favorite is a "Cigar" brand flip top case that has been carried in my pocket so long that the black enamal finish is worn down to the base metal in most places.
Of course, I had to buy a new lighter and switch the innards several times to accomplish this feat since the lighter would only work about a year or so before it stopped working.

After some TLC and being filled with Vector X5 refined butane, the original innards are now back in the original case and working the way they ought to.

This is alarge can, so you get plenty of lighter refills. The nozzle works well with little leaking, but it also comes with plastic adapters. I hanen't needed the adapters.

I purchased this to refill regular flame lighters, jet lighters, and a Iolite(Vaporizer). All were easily refilled with the cans (sturdy metallic refill tip). All lighters had clean burns (no sputtering/dripping/abnormal operations) after refills. Iolite works like a champ with this butane.
