I bought this exact inverter in a bundle including a much larger Vector inverter over 10 years ago from Samsclub. This smaller one was a free bonus. Although I've used the larger one most of the time, this unit has still gotten plenty of use charging mp3 players,aa batteries and cell phones, powering portable cd players, and most frequently powering my corded electric shaver. The swivel feature has come in handy depending on the setup in the car or truck I'm driving. There's a little black slider switch on the neck which you can see in the picture; i think it was originally meant to help hold the unit in place, but for years it's basically just slid back and forth loosely, which hasn't made a bit of difference in its functionality. I haven't taxed it a whole lot, but have charged a laptop a few times, which draws 65-75 watts. One time in my work truck, though, I attempted to charge my DeWalt 18v hammer drill battery... no dice. That was much too big a draw for the inverter to handle, and I should have known better or at least checked the wattage draw. I can without hesitation say though that I've used this charger literally hundreds of hours charging and powering smaller devices without fail. I shaved 3 times (head and face) and charged my mp3 player several times this week alone. Quite durable in my experience, no complaints. By the way, the only accurate pictures on this model are the main one and the one I submitted of my very used inverter, not the other user-submitted ones.
