Vectormans attitude has just gotten improved,

This review is from: Vectorman 2 (Video Game)
The first vectorman is better graphic and music wise but in this game, you fight bugs who took over the Earth soon after WarHead was defeated by vectorman. You now rise to take on the alien threat. This game has better weapons an better morphs like the scorpion morph, skater morph and tank morph were the coolest, Now there are weapons like reflective beam, molt beam and other cool weapons. The only other cool stuff is you can do mini games easier (COLLECT CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PHOTONS IN A LEVEL BESIDES FIND THIS THING TO DESTROY THE RADAR IN THE LEVEL IN VECTORMAN 1). The mini games consist of going thru this tube blasting aliens and collecting stuff as a vectorman like ship and where you destroy moons around planets of a vectorman like ship. One last thing is vectormans voice is more robotic an cool unlike the first game plus the Giant insect bosses are WAY better than vectorman 1 bosses but enemies in this game are worse than in vectorman 1 (cuz in V1 you fight robots). If you somehow cannot find a copy of vectorman 1, got bored of it, or just looking for a action packed Sega Genesis game with a low feel but creepy cool bosses, weapons, voice acting (which vectorman does a good job at after blowing the bosses ass off), morphs and bonuses, Give Vectorman 2 a spin.

This review is from: Vectorman 2 (Video Game)
It's rather disheartening to see the quality of Sega games going down the gutter these days (The only good game to come out in awhile was Condemned 2: Bloodshot). The Golden Compass was hailed as garbage, Iron Man was also reviled by all critics, Sonic has been in a downward slope for years, and the new Hulk game didn't receive great reviews. But when you revisit classics like these on the Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast, you're reminded of the good times, plus quite a few good games on the PS2 and Xbox. Vectorman is one of those games that for some reason or another, Sega never revived it neither in console nor handheld form like many of its fellow Sega brethren. I have not played the first Vectorman, but this sequel is highly polished and rather solid for a side-scrolling shooter with platforming elements.WHAT THE GAME IS: When Vectorman's ship gets shot down he crashes on a planet and must escape and defeat numerous enemies. So in good old side-scrolling form you shoot lots of enemies and jump onto platforms. GRAPHICS: It has the 2D/3D look. The environments are designed quite nicely and the game is rather pretty. I like the enemy exploding effects. MUSIC: It has a quiet, haunting feel to it. It is nice music that goes along with the game. SOUND: Shooting, enemies dying, your character dying sometimes, and his one-liners. GAMEPLAY: The controls function quite well and feel very responsive and reliable. The game can be difficult though and you can die. Also, sometimes certain platforms are tricky to reach and there are times when you miss them and fall to the ground. But these flaws are easily overcome by the addicting gameplay. OVERALL: If you own a Genesis you should pick up this game, and demand that Sega does a re-release of this game. It's a highly polished and exceptional side-scrolling shooter that's fun for anyone. Now, Sega, along with re-releasing this title you should also think about digging into your Saturn and Dreamcast catalogue of titles and reviving them if you hope to survive as a publisher. THE GOOD: Great gameplay, good music, good graphics. THE BAD: Platforming can be tricky.
