It's all in how you use it,

I previously wrote a negative review saying that the Veet wax strips left behind a sticky mess. After reading so many positive reviews, I figured I must be doing something wrong. And I was. What I was forgetting to do, which is very important in all types of waxing, is to hold the skin very taught while you are pulling the strip. I was holding the skin taught, but nowhere near as taught as I should have. It made all the difference. It grabbed almost every single hair, and was nearly painless. The tabs on the paper help alot when you have to pull off the strip. It's also very comfortable, the strips are made of paper but are woven to feel like cloth. I will definitely buy again.

My parents made really hairy kids with really stubborn body hair. I have a 24 hour window of smoothness after I shave my legs, and since my hair is dark and thick, stubble is very noticeable. I've tried other wax strips that just were unable to pull out my super strength hair, but this worked!
Smoothness lasted about 18 days, not the 28 advertised, but for me, 18 days was wonderful. Also, to help heat it up, I warmed the wax on the plastic part of my flat iron.

I've used other cold wax strips before, by Sally Hansen and Parissa, and these worked the best. The wax is thicker and stickier than on the other strips I've used and the strips themselves are fabric-like rather than plastic, so they more easily fit around your more interesting contours. I found these strips to be larger than I needed, and they worked just as well after I cut them in half. Usually, when I've waxed before with the aforementioned strips, they would leave the coarser bikini-line hairs behind but these strips got every last one! The oily wipes this set comes with took the extra wax off with relatively little effort.
