If you like the art of Lee Conklin.. you can't do any better than this. It's his only book!
Great drawings.. not quite as transmutational as some of his famous Fillmore posters, including that wonderful one (BG 134) that was used as Santana's 1st LP cover.. but probably more whimsical, and loose and artistic in some ways. All black and white ink drawings.. very scarce and little known book is a classic of "hippie outsider" art.. and psychedelic naivete.. (also try to find 'Trips 66' )
ps: It's not a limited edition of 20 copies!!! There were probably 20 he signed and numbered.. but it was printed by Print Mint in Berkeley, CA and they didn't go to all that trouble to print 20.. not sure of edition size but it's a normal run!! Probably in the very low thousands. And yes.. almost ALL of the copies have a little trouble with the binding.. the cover tends to break loose. It's the whole run, so if you get one handle it carefully..
