Great game for a low price, October 4, 2001

This review is from: Vegas Games 2000 (Jewel Case) (CD-ROM)
For the low price of this game you really do get your moneys worth. Does not have all the "glitz and glamour" of some other Vegas games. Just a nice selection of the basic games with a good variety of Poker games, video poker and slots. About five each or so. Nice Craps, Roulette, Money Wheel etc. More real looking and sounding then some of the others out there by a long shot. All games look great with nice graphics and realistic sounds of the casino. You can adjust the casino noise, dealer voice, music, game effects etc. There are NO animated players in this game like there are with Microsoft Casino or Hoyle Casino games. You compete against other players or just against the dealer depending on the game. Fast to download and runs well on either full or minimum install. My game came with Direct X Version 7 on it. The instruction manual is on the CD instead of a seperate paper copy. For the low price, I think you get one nice little game, with good performance. Not a "showy game" with all the commercials of some of the others. Just the basics. I can play it for hours.

Have not been able to install software or uninstall it because I get an error message that "D3DRM.DLL is missing", (what ever that means). I don't understand enough about computers to know what I need to do so this game is useless to me.
I sent a message to the company over a week ago and received a reply that their tech person was off for 4-5 days but I haven't heard from anyone since that time. I cannot understand why anyone would sell such a product with a file missing. Not sure if the one I received was just a "freak" or what but I sure would like to have something that I could use.
Several years ago I had a game that I got from a friend of mine called Vegas Games and my wife enjoyed it so much that she just took over my computer. When I found this one I was very excited because it was one of the best casino games that I have ever seen. I was so much looking forward to putting it on both my laptop and PC.
When I tried installing it and discovered that I couldn't because of a missing file, needless to say I was very, very disappointed.
I would very much like to hear from someone that can correct my problem or send me a new program that will work. Other than that I was very satisfied with the service I received from Amazon and the company that shipped the product to me. It was very speedy service just "poor" software.

Very timely, just what I expected, there is free software like this if you want to give up some personal information. Had fun with it.
