Editorial Reviews

In this popular series, handsome, fun loving, private eye, Dan Tanna, drives around Las Vegas in his vintage Thunderbird solving private cases but is also on retainer to a wealthy casino owner to keep crime out of his hotels. He is helped by his smart and sexy assistant, a sexy and not too smart chorus girl who takes messages for him, and his enthusiastic, yet inept, legman.

Good series; however, if you plan to buy the combo set, be sure to check on buying vol 1 and vol 2 separately. It is often cheaper. Buying the combo set seems to be just a trick to get the consumer to pay more just to have a cardboard box to keep the two sets in. There is no different in the amount of time on the sets. Vol 1 has 567 minutes and vol 2 has 589 minutes. Combined that's 1156 minutes, the same as this set. But then going up in price on this combo might be a trick just to make the two volumes seem reasonable in price.

I have been waiting for this for ever, it is finally here. I was born in Las Vegas and watched this show being filmed as a teenager. I forgot how many times they filmed in front the old Kim ranch house. All the old local celeberties in the background. I love seeing Las Vegas from the good days. Too bad it won't ever be like that again.

Great series. I love seeing Las Vegas like it was 30 years ago. Has lots of good action and interesting characters.

Robert Urich was a talented actor (even if they made him wear those ridiculously-tight jeans). This show not only had good writing, it also captured the flash & exitement of Las Vegas. I also like the humorous characters who guest-starred in several episodes. Besides....who wouldn't want to park their vintage T-Bird convertible inside their house & just hop out without opening the door? The outfits of that period will make you smile.
