Garden seeder by Midwest products, August 1, 2009
I had purchased this seeder what a mistake, there is a slider to regulate seed depth and I did not have one with the right markings. I called them over five times and she sent me a label without any diagram on the proper placement. I used it anyway and left at one depth and it has ruin my garden some of my seeds did not come up because of it. I ordered mine from Harris seed. They sent me a mailer to send it back and Harris seed is not having this product in their catalog anymore due to handling Harris seed customers bad. I am going with the Earthway next year that is a better product don't buy this plastic and metal contraption. The row marker is garbage it doesn't even mark the row right. Hope this helps others, if I knew I was going to have this I certainly wouldn't have purchase this product..

What a piece of junk?, April 4, 2011
This review is from: Vegetable Garden Seeder (Red/Yellow) (41.5"H x 15"W x 30"D)
For starters, I bought this pile from Nasco and when it showed up it was half assembled. No big deal I thought, I am pretty handy. One hour later and after re-drilling and filing out the holes to get it to fit together, it is a flimsy piece of crap. I have had an Earthway brand for years, but in my tough soils, I needed one that was rear wheel drive, so as I am pushing the opener through the soil, the front drive wheel isn't slipping. I found this one as a rear wheel drive unit and thought it was the ticket. Nope. The concept of the the pressure on the rear is good, but it sticks and flips seeds everywhere when the belts slips and grabs again. I also thought the fertilizer hopper thing would be cool but it just drops the seed next to the row. I had hoped that it would place it in the furrow with the seed. Another disappointment was the fertilizer metering "device". This is just a hole with a sliding gate that the fertilizer doesn't flow through evenly. It either clumps and doesn't flow or it runs when you hit a bump. I didn't even install my "row marker" as it looked like it wouldn't work and wouldn't stay up when not needed. I tried to find some info on this product before I bought it but their website sucks like their product and now I know why the site was so vague. Save yourself the trouble and buy something else.

This thing is a total waste of money. It doesn't work well and there is no customer service from the manufacturer. Not only do I suggest not buying this seeder, I wouldn't buy anything made buy this company.
