3.0 out of 5 stars Very Dated
It's fairly handy in the main cities, but the main focus is in the UK. There's a handful of other countries, but very limited. I liked that the author translated common terms/foods in the different languages, even if there were not specific resturants there. However, that was only for a few countries, it would have been helpful for the major languages in Europe. It...

I liked that the author translated common terms/foods in the different languages, even if there were not specific resturants there. However, that was only for a few countries, it would have been helpful for the major languages in Europe. It would be nice if the author published an updated version and expand. But if you are just visiting one of the major sites of Europe, it'll be a general guide though.

We're planning a trip europe and I was so excited to find this guide. As expected, it has listings of vegetarian friendly restarurants and markets by city but it also has some maps (hand drawn but still good), words/phrases to help order/find vegetarian food in different countries, as well as tips on good nutrition while traveling. Its a neat book, written in a very relaxed, friendly style that's fun to read/browse through. I'm so glad I found it and will certainly have it packed with me for our trip.

I bought this book because when travelling there is sometimes difficult to be vegiterian. Although lonely planet is excellent travelling companion I wanted to add this book to take with me to be sure to find something to eat.
The book was helpful and an exellent suppliment to other travel books.
