More About the Author

Bobbie Hinman grew up in Baltimore and holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Towson University. She is the author and co-author of seven successful cookbooks. These include the Lean & Luscious series and the Meatless Gourmet series. Bobbie has traveled all over the United States promoting healthy eating, both as a featured speaker and as a guest on radio and TV shows.

Several years ago Bobbie decided to re-invent her literary career. With her experience as an elementary teacher, along with the joys of reading to her ten grandchildren, Bobbie has turned her attention to the world of children's literature. Through her fairy books, Bobbie uncovers the answers to some of life's mysterious dilemmas, such as tangled hair and missing socks. She even reveals the reason why belly buttons are always in the middle. And now, in her newest book, Bobbie reveals the cause of life's most embarrassing sounds and odors! After all, who better to blame it on than the fairies?

Bobbie is a member of the Maryland Writers' Association, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and the New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association. She is currently in demand as a featured speaker at schools, libraries and book festivals.

I got this book for Christmas and it is full of wonderful recipes. So far I have tried 3 recipes, and they have all turned out fantastic. The ingredients the recipes call for are inexpensive and easy to find. The recipes are easy to follow, quick to prepare, very healthy, and taste amazing. I would recommend this book to anyone!

This review is from: The Vegetarian Gourmet's Easy International Recipes (Paperback)
I have quite a few vegetarian cookbooks, and this one ranks with the best as far as variety, ease (of food preparation and of instructions), and TASTE! The book is divided into 7 sections, one for each category of world cuisines covered here, (Mexican, Caribbean, Italian, Middle Eastern, Indian, Eastern European, Asian). Each one has appetizers, salads, main courses, lunches and dinners, and desserts, from traditional recipes to innovative ones. Almost all are low-fat or give low-fat options. I've tried five recipes so far and they're fantastic... even my meat-loving family loved the samosas!

If you love good vegetarian food and want to dabble in cooking some different world cuisines, I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars have yet to dislike a recipe, July 13, 2011
This review is from: The Vegetarian Gourmet's Easy International Recipes (Paperback)
I've always struggled to find a good cookbook and this one is without fail the diamond in the rough. You will not be disappointed. Recipes are simple, easy, but have a complex and wonderful output. Strongly recommended.
