Thank you for your interest in this book. As a vegetarian there are things that you think about that never cross the mind of others, including ingredients, issues, companies and products. Over the years I have come across so many things that have prompted me to run to a dictionary, book or Web site to see if it was compatible with a vegetarian lifestyle. Doing this prompted me to write this book. I looked at so many different sources to find the explanations of each topic that I finally decided that having one book with all of the information would be ideal.

This book was created to be a reference. When you’re curious about a word or topic related to vegetarianism all you need to do is look up the word. You could also read through the whole book front to back and then add it to your bookshelf to keep handy for future reference. However, this book is set up like a dictionary or encyclopedia and intended to be used in much the same way. The book contains information on the most frequently inquired about subject matter as it relates to vegetarianism.
