About the Author

Kurma Dasa was born in England and moved to Australia in 1964. He began cooking in his youth, and has taught his special brand of elegant and eclectic gourmet vegetarian cuisine throughout Australia and around the world. He was head chef at Melbourne's most popular vegetarian restaurant, Gopal's, for many years. He has hosted three internationally broadcast TV cooking series, seen in over 46 countries. Kurma Dasa has a special ability to make reipes easy to follow and delicious for non-vegetarian to enjoy. Not only has he mastered Indian cooking, but his Mediterranean dishes are also great. Fun recipes for snacks, especially when you have non-veggies come to visit. My guests always look forward to coming over as they know they'll be tasting something great and different...a lot of the vegetarian dishes come from Kurma's cooking books.
I had the pleasure of attending one of his cooking classes. It converted a friend of mine, who had never cooked Indian food before, it isn't necessarily hot, just a lot of wonderful spices. Lots to enjoy.
