Gina Matthews has put together a huge collection of vegetarian recipes which I would love to check out, explore, taste test but... the formatting of the TOC has me blocked from continuing any further into the book. Some one seriously screwed up the editing and I am rather sad as I do like a good veggie recipe. I am very hopeful she will update the TOC formatting and then have the emails sent out to previous purchasers

Edited March 14, 2012 I originally rated this book a 1 star due to the TOC but am very happy to be able to correct this with the 5 stars. I am thrilled with the responsiveness of the author/editors of this book and very impressed by the look inside. I think this book is going to be very useful in helping me to plot out a few weeks menus easily. Thanks Gina and Team

I want to commend the author on fixing the formatting problems so quickly! Thank you! Now that I can access the recipes, I am trying to make up my mind which to try tonight! There is a nice assortment of vegetable recipes here, not just for vegetarians, but for anyone wanting to add a nice vegetable side dish to a meal!

I guess that I am a bit old fashioned and perhaps behind the times. I expected The Complete 'Veggie Goddess' Vegetarian Cookbook Series: Volumes 1-4 ('The Veggie Goddess' Vegetarian Cookbook Series) to be vegetarian food of the sort that the vegetarians I know eat: very heavy on locally produced fresh vegetables, organic produce, whole wheat flour and pasta, brown rice and sugars as close to "natural" as could be had - think maple sugar or honey or muscovado sugar. So, I was very surprised to find that this book is very heavy on canned beans, frozen veggies, canned soups (!!!), white rice, white sugar and even such things as packaged Taco Seasoning Mix. Honestly, I think this book would be better named the "Vegetable Cookbook Series" rather than the "Vegetarian Cookbook Series." Be aware that if you are a serious vegetarian, this is probably not the book for you.

The author has included an extensive, properly formatted Table of Contents that interfaces correctly with the Kindle navigation menu, so for that she'll get an extra star from Grandma, since almost nobody manages to get it right.

Most readers will find something to love among the wealth of recipes.

The recipes are for foods you will recognize, be able to cook, and enjoy eating. The Table of Contents is nicely organized to quickly scan, browse, and quickly find a selected recipe.

I previously purchased the author's book 100 - 5 Ingredients or Less, Easy and Delicious Vegetarian Recipes. I was surprised by how many times I referenced this book for weekend meal ideas. My daughter mentioned seeing this all-in-one book volume, so I decided to pick this cookbook up as well. Since my whole family is getting on-board with eating healthier, I know we'll all be taking turns making recipes from this huge series cookbook. And, you certainly can't go wrong with the price discount of purchasing this collection cookbook, vs. buying each of the cookbooks individually. Can definitely recommend this book to other families looking to eat healthier, and if you have children who are vegetarian, like I do.

Opps, lots of cheese, cream, milk and eggs. Recipes sound great but I'm cutting out dairy and especially cheese for improvement of my health and lab work. Vegetarian not vegan. Will keep and substitute where possible.
