About the Author
My name is Brenda Lizzett Valencia and I was born on July 11, 1985. I am the eldest of three children. When I was six, my younger brother, David, was born. David was born with cerebral palsy. Although I didn't know how big of an impact David would have on me then, I know now. I used to be a little jealous of all the attention David would get, but not anymore. I want to show other children that have a sibling with special needs that they shouldn't feel jealous of their sibling, but to instead embrace their sibling's differences. I have always wanted to write a children's book about my brother as a type of tribute to him for all the love he has brought to my family, and now I finally did.
