My children received this CD as a Hanukkah gift. What a wonderful gift it was! They love the music with it's catchy tunes and sometimes hilarious lyrics and I love the message that it sends. I originally thought that Veggie Tales was not appropriate for my family since we are Jewish and Veggie Tales are Christian-based. I now realize I was wrong. Yes, they are based on Christianity and some videos may mention Jesus, but the basic message is one about being a good person and respecting God's word. There is nothing on this CD which is specifically Christian, just Judeo-Christian in the sense that there is one God.

Who can resist such Monty Python-ish tunes as "Where's My Hairbrush" in which the cucumber is distressed about his missing hairbrush only to find out that it was given to the peach because, well because he HAS hair. And "We are the Grapes of Wrath" (who never take a bath) is one of my personal favorites. My kids (ages 2 & 4.5) really love tracks 4-8 about Daniel in the Lion's Den. My 4-year-old makes up verses about what's going to happen to Daniel.

Any child and parent would be pleased with this CD unless they are atheists or believe in more than one God.

My preschool-aged children and I love this CD. We listen to it every day in the car. As each song starts, one of my kids shouts "This is my favorite!" (They have lots of favorites.) The songs are so catchy that my kids sing the songs when the CD isn't even on. Larry's silly songs are hilarious -- the water buffalo song and the hairbrush song.

I do wonder how the presumably adult singers get their voices to sound like that. Each singing character has perfect intonation for what they're trying to convey -- from the mean wise men who got Daniel in trouble to Junior Asparagus who asks "Why do you need a hairbrush? You don't have any hair."

Let me put it this way: I'm 36 years old, and I find myself smiling and singing along. It's a hoot!

Not only is Veggietales a great show/movie but the songs rock! They are good for everyone. I'm 16 and i like them. They are good songs with good/funny lyrics and they are very catchy! This album in particular has some great songs on it, the old classic Veggietales!

This VeggieTales album has great songs. They're really funny, as are all VeggieTales things. The songs are good, and they have good moral lessons. Good for long car rides. None of them are too dumb that you won't want to sing along. Well, maybe your parents won't, but what did you expect? They're adults! They might get embarrassed. (In front of who?) Anyway, it's a great album, and it has the printed lyrics inside the sleeve, so you can sing if you don't know all the words. Awesome.

I've yet to be disappointed with a Veggie Tale product, but this one is for the ears only, and boy are your ears in for a treat! Released in 1998, this contains their early recordings that started it all. The rest, as they say, is history. A real treat for kids, especially when you as parents are desirous of interjecting Biblical teachings and values into their lives in a manner that is memorable, educational and fun all at the same time! This is the sort of song collection that your kids will be begging to hear over and over until you too know the words to the songs and can sing along with your kids. Now THAT is quality time that they will cherish. It will mean more to them, not to mention you, than you could possibly imagine. I've experienced it with my own daughters, and now my granddaughters! The music is light and fun. No fire and brimstone here! The music is presented in a way that is completely non-threatening, not scary and not overly preachy as well. Young and old alike -- ENJOY!!

I gave this cd to my nephew for his 2nd birthday. I'm told that he listens to it over and over and over and over again. It's sure fire way for my sister to cheer him up.

Though some of these songs were new to us, all were great, fun songs of the same high quality we've come to expect from Veggie Tale products.

What better way to have fun and sing praise then with 2 vegetables!

My 2 year old loves the veggietales. We let her watch one show a day-and she asks for particular songs ALLLLLL of the time. She loves this CD! The only drawback of the Cd is it seems short-and after repetitively listening to it over and over-I'm beginning to get sick of it. But, my daughter still loves it-so play it we will.
