I've watched this countless times with my kids and we all love it. Its a great blend of "kid" and "Adult" type humor. Don't miss understand, its very clean and very funny but there are some things that only moms and dads will get. One of the few kids movies that I can stand to watch over and over again.

We watched this DVD recently with our three year old grandson. He was entertained and so were we. Clever and witty, this is a fun DVD for a multi generational audience.

I love the values taught in this film, the comedy and the plot. I'm a huge Tolkien fan, so this definitely piqued my interest too. It was a great family movie night flick that provided wholesome entertainment we all could enjoy.

Colorful animation and catchy tunes engross children in the story and promote values in a fun way. My 5 year old has watched this series for years and asks to watch them over and over again.

Like all Veggie Tales, this is a Christian Bible-lesson wrapped in an entertaining production starring CGI vegetables. That having been said, as both a Christian parent and a huge Lord of the Rings fan, this is one of the best Veggie Tales ever, and one of the best LOTR parodies ever. It sticks closer to the movies than the books, but I loved almost all of it (including the Silly Song, which only happens occasionally). I actually found myself wishing that they'd done THIS as a feature length movie instead of the Jonah and Pirates ones.

As a minor caution, my three year old was frightened by some of the imagery/music (involving the Orc and Gollum parodies), so be aware of your children's sensitivities. My older children (6+) were fine, and repeated viewings have made this a favorite Sunday movie in our house. The lesson, about how God wants us to use the gifts he gives us, is a good one for discussion too.

I read many of the reviews to this film, those that gave it a low rating were not fair.

Excellent movie and principles. I grew up on Tolkien and thoroughly enjoyed this production. I could follow the story from my memories of The Lord of the Rings and recall what "really" was going on but without the darkness of that story. My daughter (4) and I have enjoyed it very much together as we learn the principles and discuss them. While it's going I can visualize TLOTR story. Great fun.

As a huge LOTR fan, this is a cute adaptation enjoyable for the kids. VT does a great job of providing a great moral and godly lesson.
