Concise, overview of design parameters, objective
Clear cut, formulas for BMEP, SFC, Volumetric Eff, piston speed, etc. Great Comprehensive overview of complete engine design. Standard curriculum material for WWU VRI program.

Waay too expensive for what it is
It's an ok book, but very thin for the price. I missed that it's only 200 pages. Way more in much greater detail for the same money is BOTH volumes of "The Internal Combustion Engine in Theory and Practice by Charles Fayette Taylor Otherwise a fine book.

This was a great, comprehensive introduction to engine design. References were made for further reading that proved useful. This book is a total success in its intended scope.
