5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievably Useful, March 2, 2008

Besides working superbly for your plants and tomatoes as it should. This is one of the most useful product in the house besides gaffer tapes. Considering its low price, you can use it as a disposable velcro. Use it for tying and organizing wires and cables. It is not as sticky and as strong as a real velcro, but it works just the way I want it.

You can get it at your nearest Home Depot at the garden section.

5.0 out of 5 stars simple yet effective, September 23, 2007

Despite the description, each roll has 30 feet of very useful Velcro - adjustable as the tomatoes grow, and reusable from year to year. Much better than baler twine!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy Item, In or Out of the Garden, August 28, 2007

I always keep a roll of this tape on hand. It's helpful in the garden, tying up and supporting plants. It's easy to use, reuse, and reposition. I've used it to 'train' small branches, easily tightening the loop as the wood agrees to bend. The front and back of the tape are different shades of green; choose either to face out to blend with your plants. Out of the garden, I find it great for coiling and securing all manner of cords and cables. It's especially handy in my computer area, where all the cables hang off the back of my desk and form an unsightly mess on the floor. This cut-to-fit product neatly tames them much more economically than precut lengths. Velcro 90594CS 1/2"x30" Plant Tie Velcro.

I've used these in the past for my tomatoes and they are great! No more fumbling with twine or twist ties. My 78 year old mother loves them since she has trouble tying with her sore hands (and I'm finding that happening to me as well after years of gardening.) I cut them into about 4 inch lengths then just wrap them and the ends just stick together. When the plant stem gets thicker I can just readjust them. You can even do this wearing garden gloves (try tying twine with those on!) At the end of the season, I save all the ties and put them in a shoe box until next season. Even if they get covered with soil, just rinse them off and they're good as new!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy stuff, June 10, 2007
I just love this stuff. I used it to stake up my irises that grew too tall and lanky from not enough sun (moved now). Great for other tall flowers or transplants that get buffeted by the wind.

I used the velcro with green bamboo sticks and the color blends in nicely with the foliage. Reusable! I've been reusing the same stuff I bought 3 years ago.

Also use it to keep extention cords from unrolling. Lots neater than twist ties and I can cut exactly the length I need for the particular cord or whatever I need it for.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for Tomato Plants, December 12, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For tomatoes, this product should be used with the Snip 'N Twist ties, ASIN: B0002VZCKA. To use, cut a small strip off the velcro tie roll, about one and one half inches. Wrap it about the part of the tomato vine that you want to support, forming a small collar. Then use a length of Snip 'N Twist tie to connect the collar to the tomato stake or cage. This does the job and uses only a small amount of the more expensive velcro tie, and only the soft, gentle velcro tie is in contact with the plant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flixible ties, great for sweet peas, July 25, 2011

I used the plant ties to control my sweet peas which I was growing for the first time and had placed in a windy spot. The ability to cut off strips of varying lengths makes these ties much more flexible than some alternatives. The velcro function is strong and efficient and no ties have broken open. Recommended

This is really a great product!
You can cut the pieces to the exact length for your needs, and there is no damage to the plant, as when I've used twist ties or string, to shore up my plants
