Great!,

I have used other products and even tried scratch. This is by far the best that I have had. Creamy and not too salty. Better than betty crocker. How anyone could describe this as yuk is beyond me, sounds like operator error to me. ( The cook messed up ). I have cooked this in a toaster oven & it turned out just fine.

Love them!,

Two of these reviewers are obviously not cooks or they don't care for Velveeta. I usually don't purchase ready prepared or short-cut items because I am very particular about the food I serve; however, once I tried these, I've kept them on-hand for hurry up meals. If the directions are followed and you stir in the cheese while the product is hot, they're wonderful. I make them on top of the stove - and if the liquid gets too low I add a little more milk; then afterwards I sprinkle with a few bacon bits and place in the oven for a short while. I am dismayed that I can no longer find this product in the store.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Velveeta, Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes, 10.23-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 8) (Grocery)
I only ordered these to get an order up above the free shipping level and I don't mind admitting it. If Amazon is going to be decent enough to try to help us out, I'll sure as heck reciprocate by giving them my business! That said, I wasn't expecting much. I mean I like Kraft and I even use Velveeta products in recipes here at home, but I make my own au gratin taters, dangit. I figured these would go to the hall pantry as emergency stocks/preparedness stuff. I was surprised. They're really pretty danged good! Couple of tips, though; be sure to stir the product well before cooking or the potatoes will stick together, and add bacon crumblies! This is up there with mac and cheese for a family fav here now. Saves an hour of prep time over my recipe, too.

Forget the cheese sauce...the only way to use this product is to leave off the last step...they instruct you after cooking the product then to add the thick gooey cheese sauce which just ruins it....I purchased a case of these...so before I cook them I add spices or herbs of choice and then after cooking I top with melted butter...I save the sauce packet for nachos..

Breathtaking,

Velveeta Au Gratin potatoes will surely change the way you think about little slimy potato chips. The poor quality of this food-type item makes me lose a little faith in this civilization and in the relationship between human animals and a free market economy.
