Overall, I like these gloves. They look very nice on my wife, and their feel is also quite nice. The stretch is good, and they stay up, which is key. There is no elastic at the top, just the doubled-over elastic velvet of the seam itself, which gets the job done.

There was no problem with fit, and all of the seams are straight and well done. The seams fit the contours of the fingers, and are also contoured well, with no puckering or deviance in the seam directions. There is a single, full-length seam on each glove, running up the inside. The tag notes they're 100% polyester.

But, I would not characterize these as 3/4-arm-length gloves. When I think ladies' formal gloves, I consider full-length to be just that, basically all they way to just short of the armpit. Given the rough half-way point of the elbow, I'd call gloves 3/4-length if they go over the elbow and then stay there, maybe 1-2" past the elbow. The measurement from the base of the thumb to the hem of the glove is 12", and that's just not going to get you over the elbow. On my wife, who is 5'10", with a pull these gloves came to just below her elbow. If you were 5'1", then maybe these gloves would get there, but you'd have to work them to get there.

All in all, this is a good product for the price, but don't buy these thinking they're going to go all the way up.

The Velvet Long Black Opera Evening Gloves exceeded my expectations. I ordered them to go with a special outfit for New Year's Eve, they were perfect! I have long arms and they were just the right length.

I would highly recommend these!
