Made solely from the Criollo cocoa bean from Venezuela, an exceptionally aromatic bean which comprises just 5-10% of the worlds cocoa crop and therefore used by only the very best chocolatiers, Venchi for one. An incredibly powerful, low acid dark chocolate with a strong cocoa taste. Highly recommended for those of you who prefer that real dark chocolate taste with less acidity. This chocolate is a true treat. Chocolate seems to have found a spot in the gourmet foods spotlight--especially dark chocolates. Here is the darkest I've found that one can eat like candy (versus unsweetened for baking). The texture is smooth and contains a touch of texture much like finely ground coffee. Brace yourself for bold flavor without any sourness like some other brands have.
