Book Description

Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn.

The people involved in killing Jody Minerali are about to find out how true that is.

Embezzlement is underway at Martins Insurance Group. When Jody Minerali discovers it during a routine audit, she determines that the corruption goes all the way to the top and also includes the mob. With nowhere to turn within the company she is forced to seek outside help. Unfortunately, management learns of her discovery and they have different plans. Crime boss Vito Lucero is not ready to have his cash cow shut down and plots to shut her up permanently.

After her fiancé is murdered she is driven to the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, where she is raped and left to die. After an accident involving the Medical Examiner’s van, her body disappears. When a string of murders start to take place in the sleepy seaside town of Palm Harbor the police assume a serial killer is on the loose, until Jody’s fingerprints are discovered on the murder weapon. The town is turned upside down as the police realize that a woman’s scorn can reach beyond the realm of the dead.

The people involved in killing her are going to pay.

Vito Lucero is a suspect in her murder, but also a target. The police want him for questioning, but he is being hunted by an unearthly killer. Can the police reach him in time, before the Vendetta is complete?

Author's excerpt from Vendetta:

Dalton lowered his voice to a whisper.
“Revenge is never a straight road. It's more like a roundabout. And in a roundabout, if you don’t make the correct turn, it’s easy to end up right back where you started.”
Dalton went to the truck, popped open the glove box and retrieved the 9MM. Jody took it from him without hesitation and placed it in her waistband.
“That clip holds ten shots,” he said and grabbed another clip from the truck. “This one is full as well. If you can’t hit what you’re aimin’ at with twenty shots, then God help ya.”
Jody gazed at the clip in a trance—visions of Alex’s blood pooling while his killers laughed came flooding back. She held no reservations when she grabbed the gun as she thought about Oscar raping her in the woods. Shoving the clip into her pocket she turned to him with fire in her eyes. Dalton took a step back.
“God’s gonna sit this one out, Dalton.”

4.0 out of 5 stars Revenge can be a real bitch!! September 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wow! That was a fast read. Some books that are almost 400 pages, I find myself wishing someone would get to the point already, etc. This book was completely different. Kept me captivated until the very end. What goes around comes around is real if you believe it or not. Even though this book is fiction, I'm sure a lot of Vendettas are carried out in a manner like this. Exciting book that will keep your attention, making you actually rooting for revenge! The only part that puzzled me was how so many mob kings were traveling around with no security/body guards or the like. Wouldn't you know it, all of their doors were unlocked at all times also. Still a winner.

More About the Author

Even though I began my journey of writing at a late age, my desire to build worlds and create characters started at a very young age. 10 to be exact. I enjoyed world building games such as Dungeons and Dragons as well as immersing myself into superhero back stories via the "Marvel Universe" compendiums. I signed on with independent publishing house Creativia in early 2014 and haven't looked back.
