As an avid collector of not only action figures, but a tremendous fan of comic books and the motion pictures they inspire, I knew this particular action figure would be mine.
V For Vendetta is a sterling example of the brilliance that goes unrecognized in the medium of comics/movies far too often.
From the moment I got word that NECA held the rights to the film, and were making an action figure under the licence, I was thrilled. NECA has been responsible for many of my favorite collectable figurines in the past, and I knew they would do right by this mysterious and amazing character.

The packaging, I found rather boring, a simple transparent plastic clamshell with scattered insert shots of the figure and the theatrical movie poster. I promptly tore it open.
However, the figure himself, is something to be proud of. With ten points of articulation, a good dramatic pose, six removable daggers, and a removable hat, V doesn't skimp on much, and is ready for battle on the toy shelves.
The sculpt and paint application are dead-on, with just the right length of dark brown hair, and even spots of wear and fading on his hat and boots.
I feel it's the little details are what make this figure a work of art, such as the pattern on his vest, the stitching that lines his cape, and the creases, folds, and graying in his clothing that gives off a realistic look of fabric with a true sense of weight and gravity.

Many figures in this range often aren't sturdy and don't stand well on their own. V doesn't display any of those little annoyances. He has great balance and stands very well on his own. In fact the only thing I could see breaking on him are his daggers if you aren't careful, or if he manages to fall off a high shelf.

NECA have truly out done themselves with this one. There really isn't anything left to be desired with this figure, other than a slightly lower price. But, you get what you pay for here, that is for sure. One of the best figures I have own to date.

As a grown woman, I doubt I'm the target audience for this particular item, but I love V FOR VENDETTA so I had to have not one but two. The detail is extraordinary: from the texture of the doublet to the detail of the knives. If you're as much a Vixen (aka a female fan of V4V) as I, there's no better way to have V in your house. Also ideal for costumers interested in a closer look at that snappy set of duds V sports.

When I bought this i got it cause i wanted it for my collection. I thought it was nice because it stood well and looked very nice on my shelf. So in that sense i would give it a Five Star. But If you are purchasing this to play with it, or to give it to a kid to play with then dont even bother. The figure is not very manuverable and is not very fun to play with. He is a very stiff moldable statue basically. So in the sense of playing with it i give it a 1 star.
