I just read one of the most complete views of the Venezuelan Fuerzas Armadas de Liberacion Nacional(FALN) and its role in the whole Latin American political fight for power. Dr. Tarver brings an enlightened analysis of the crisis that shook Venezuela in the 1960s, at a time when acts of terror were viewed as one way to achieve political power. Insurgency has a particular meaning in "Venezuelan Insurgency, 1960-1968, A Successful Failure".
