Review of Vengence in Ashes,
By Jordan Enyeart (North Bend, OR United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Vengeance in the Ashes (Mass Market Paperback)
Vengence in the Ashes was an extremely good book because the book had very good descriptions of the minor and major events that happened in the story. Anyone who reads Vengence in the Ashes will become enthralled with the plot and action scenes. The book is written is about two different people. The first is on Ben Raines, a 50-year-old man who was an ex-Navy Seal, Marine Core, and Army specialist. He is content on getting rid of all the gangs and punks in the world with his highly trained task forces. The second is about General Jesus Diegues Mendoza Hoffman, who is around 50 years old. He is a Nazi trying to kill Ben Raines because he wants Nazis to rule the world and form a perfect government. Vengence in the Ashes takes place in the United States, Mexico, Hawaii, South and Central America, around the 1990's. The theme of this story is that people from around the world join Ben Raines to try to stop Hoffman in Mexico before he gets to the U.S. If you enjoy books about war and that has lots of descriptive scenes, then this book is a good book to meet those demands. While Ben and his teams of Rebels invade Hawaii to put an end to the rule of slavers, thugs, and the cannibalistic night people, Ben learns of a huge army of Nazis that easily outnumber, outgun, and out-supply Ben's forces. He learns the Nazis are on their way to invade the U.S. and decides they must stop them at all costs. William Johnstone wrote an excellent novel about the elite forces trying to extinguish the bad society. I didn't like the book because it was too short; Johnstone could have made the book longer than it originally was. These are just a few of the bad characteristics of this book. Otherwise I really liked Vengence in the Ashes. This novel has tons of carefully detailed scenes and character descriptions.
