4.0 out of 5 stars This is a fascinating book, even if you're not a train buff.
This a beautiful and lavishly illustrated book on the world's most beautiful train, written by the wife of its owner. This review is from: Venice Simplon Orient-Express: The World's Most Celebrated Train (Hardcover)
This a beautiful and lavishly illustrated book on the world's most beautiful train, written by the wife of its owner. The Orient Express has been revived and this book documents its repair and all the work that went into the restoration as well as the current operation. The book is wonderful, even if you are not a train buff. I recommend it to anyone who has read _Murder on the Orient Express_ for the train has been restored to the way it was in the 20s, or to anyone with an interest in the golden age of rail travel.
