The GPV-1 Motorcycle by Venom is a great product. You get alot of technology and performance for a cheap price. This was my first purchase of an R/C Motorcycle and I did my research before I bought it. It come highly recommended from 2 Wheel R/C enthusiast. Its great for a beginer as it is quite durable. I crashed it about 100 times on my first few battery packs before i got the hang of it (This motorcycle is probably not for children) and only broke one little body mount on top. Venom makes an alloy replacement for it that i think will take much more abuse befor it goes. This would also be great for the R/C Motorcycling vetran. How fast do you want to go? From Brushless systems and sticky race compound tires to full alloy and carbon fiber replacement parts, there is a very healthy aftermarket for this R/C. 5 Stars all the way!!!! Great job Venom!

This RC toy is way more than just a little plaything. It is fast, fun, and easy to use for a beginner. It is so adjustable that it compares almost to the same level as the motorcycles I used to race at Daytona.
Get a couple of friends to buy 1( make sure they buy a different channel) and the racing and competition are exciting. There are lots of replacement parts available and hop up parts to make it even faster.
Stock out of the box runs at about 25 mph, mine with brushless motor and LiPo battery make it close to 40mph.
You need a really big parking lot with a couple of cones for a track and you can race. The stock battery will last about 15 minutes and the Lipo's a little less since they make it faster.
I wish i had bought it long ago as it is tons of fun.

So, after being in the hobby (radio control) for years and getting out of it for awhile (it was a job for me, not really a hobby, so it lost its luster), i decided it was time to get behind the sticks (or wheel in this case) and go have some fun again..i went for the gpv-1..mainly because im a streetbiker and love moto-gp!after a quick double check on all the settings..and adding some expo to the controls..i fell in love, im now able to hard brake into turns accelerating out of them with a slight power wobble, its intense!!..cant wait to go full bore and do some upgrades!!!

~reccomended for smooth parking lots~

Be sure to follow the tips on rcgroups website for this bike and make sure you locktite the metal to metal screws they will come loose. Not happy with the quality of metal in some of the hex head screws as they strippped easily and had to be replaced with hobbyshop screws, other than that it's a blast to drive.

The product is very sophisticated (read complex). There are many adjustments on the motorcycle either physically or via the 3 channel transmitter. There is a weak part of the overal package. That is in the rear plastic sprocket. It is too weak to stand up to the riggors of a novice operator. After only 10 runs up the street the chain came off and damaged the sprocket. The plastic sprocket was bent back into shape and 10 more runs were made up the street until the chain came off again and broke the sprocket. Replacement sprockets (plural) have been ordered. That's such a shame.

After having just received the new sprockets, I removed and installed one of the new ones. They are beefier than the original sprocket indicating the manufacturer knew a problem existed. Once installed, I tested it while just holding the motorcycle in one hand and the throttle in the other. After the third or fourth pull on the throttle trigger, indicating a successful sprocket installation, the throttle trigger broke. The spring that centers the throttle, pulls on a lever that pivots in the center and is guided on the other end in a "bracket" that has slots for a sliding pin on the lever. The "bracket", molded into the mounting plate for the throttle, just snapped off. Very dissappointing.
