I basically bought this as a goof because and I'm a child at heart and wish they had such things when I was a kid. I was somewhat skeptical, but at under $25 why the heck not.
To my surprise, they actually work quite well. A bit tricky to steer but in no time I had them hovering around my living room. Great fun!
There is a tiny microswitch on each warrior to turn him on. A blinking blue light flashes to indicate he is on and can be seen through his clear helmet. When you press a button on the front of the control, a laser blast sound effect comes from it and a red LED lights the warriors gun. I haven't had a chance to battle yet, so I can't say how that works.
There is a panel on each remote that opens up to reveal a little cable to connect each warrior for charging. Mine came charged already.
The warriors themselves are made of foam so the risk of flight damage there is pretty low, but the propellers definitely seem delicate. My kit came with 4 small spare propellers for rear rotor, but if the top one or stabilizer goes I'd be out of luck. I would think if anything the large propeller would be the one most likely to get damaged. I gave this 3 stars for durability expecting some breakage in the near future, but these are very light so even crash landings are pretty soft. Hopefully I underestimated there.
Regarding take off, floor it immediately or you'll wind up with you warrior flopping around on the floor like I did for the first 5 minutes. I noticed that the mini screwdriver that comes with this to remove the battery case screw started stripping the screws, so I recommend using a better quality screwdriver for that.
