Tragically underrated band,

I'm happy I waited a bit to review this cd. When I first purchased it, I was disappointed. I thought the tracks all sounded really generic. Listening to it now, I don't know what I was thinking. I was probably just disappointed by the move away from the raw, hardcore sound of their previous recordings. But...Wow. This album is an absolutely brutal hardcore/thrash hybrid. And the production is first-rate. If you're looking for hardcore that sounds like it was recorded with blood and sweat in a friend's basement, you might want to pass on this one. But if you want some extremely tight and well-produced thrash metal with hardcore vocals that are sicker than any other band out there, look no further.
My only complaint. Can bands please stop recording these ridiculous opening tracks that are nothing but a minute of noise. What the hell? Otherwise, 5 stars. Get it. And if you haven't already, get all of their other albums.

Ringworm has done what they do best yet again, they release a unique, talented, and violent hardcore/thrash crossover album that gets badly under rated as usual. The riffs are much more melodic than Justice Replaced by Revenge and the production is cleaner than any previous Ringworm releases. However, this album still punches you in the throat and delivers some of the meanest vocals I have ever heard. If you want Integrity's drumming style, At The Gates' riffing, and the sickest vocals you've ever heard all mixed together than this release is for you.

Ringworm do not disappoint with their follow-up to 'Justice Replaced By Revenge'. 'VGD' has the same flow that 'Justice' had only the songs are heavier. HF and the band are in good form. Best Metal Album of 2007 !!
