Sally Anthony is proof that dreams can become reality. This talented performer, entrepreneur, pioneer and role model continually demonstrates that there are no limits to what one can achieve. With a new album set to launch this summer, Anthony is also the owner of her own record label Gracie Productions, owner a new American Basketball Association (ABA) franchise in Nashville, TN, and founder of Pearlgirlent.Thus far, 2004 has proven to be an exceptional year for Anthony. She recorded her upcoming album VENT, an edgier rock album that she co-wrote and co-produced, which will be released on her record label Gracie Productions in July. At the beginning of the year, she purchased the Nashville ABA franchise that begins their first season in November. Anthony, who has long been an outspoken pioneer, and role model, when it comes to opportunities for women in sports, entertainment and business recently made history by naming Ashley McElhiney the first female coach of a men’s professional basketball franchise. In addition, the team is currently being filmed and will be featured in an upcoming documentary that will track the trials and tribulations of the team throughout their first year. In May she launched Pearlgirlent.com, a website that supports female artists by giving them a forum to share their music and gain support from other talented women. Anthony writes a weekly column for the website.

Success is not something new for Anthony who in 2003 released her independent CD Come Clean on Gracie Productions, which sold over 30,000 copies (according to Soundscan). The self-penned track, "My Life" played on over 50 Top 40 stations nationwide. "My Life" reached #27 on the New Music Weekly Top 40, placing Anthony, the only independent artist on the chart, ahead of acts like Jennifer Lopez, The Counting Crows, Kid Rock and Stacie Orrico. While her career has taken her in many directions, "Come Clean" highlights Sally Anthony’s rediscovered passion and drive and as a woman best described by her own lyrics; "I can be nice and know what I want at the same time".

Anthony’s break came when, realizing the power of the Internet, she launched her own site on which to date her songs have been downloaded over 150,000 times. In the spring of 2001, her song "Nameless In-Between" became an underground hit and received airplay on over 100 radio stations nationwide.

Her growing fan base led Clear Channel Entertainment to book Anthony on an extensive summer tour, opening on the Levi’s First Stage Christina Aguilera, Barenaked Ladies, Oasis, Tom Petty and The Black Crowes. The emotional veracity of her live show turned heads and moved merchandise, selling the 2nd highest CD total (averaging over 75 CD’s per show) of any artist or band to tour on the Levi’s First Stage during the summer of 2001. The summer of 2002 Jim Beam selected Anthony as 1 of 10 Emerging Artists in Music nationally. She was awarded a grant to support her efforts and in recognition of her outstanding achievements as an independent artist. By taking on new challenges and striving to reach her countless goals, Sally Anthony has become a powerful voice and role model for many women while continuing to garner the attention and respect of the ever-fickle music industry by proving that she has both the talent and determination to make it in this business. I got this CD and I listened to every single song carefully just like I did for "Come Clean" album but this one is alot better. My top three favorite songs are "I Could Be Great" - "Alone" - "Tomorrow Is Not Today" they lyrics are great. This is a short review, but this album ROCKS so you should at least check out the clips and if you like what you hear buy the album. You are bound to find at least one song you can really relate to.

i bought this at the same time i bought sally's new album GOODBYE, i don't think it's as good as GOODBYE, but GOODBYE is to me one of the best albums i have ever heard. This album is really good too, check out Here With Me, not a normal Sally song, but is very sweet.
