I've got two Airwash units and, like all of us, thought I'd save the cost of more expensive Venta water treatment and cleaner fluid by getting a generic brand at Ace Hardware. I think we are all suspicious of companies luring us into buying their side products. For once, the Venta products outperform similar products and I feel are worth the cost. As other Venta Airwash owners already know, the wheels need to be cleaned periodically and using both the cleaner and water treatment really keeps them spotless.

Since both units run almost 24/7, I will confess that about every 6 weeks, I do take the base and water wheels for both units and soak them in a mild bleach/dish detergent solution in the bathtub (both units are oyster white). With being able to remove the motor/fan assembly so easily to clean the blades, I feel like I have a healthy environment for each unit. Using the water treatment as directed keeps my units clean and sanitary in between cleanings. I trade off cleaning methods because much as I like the products, I do have to keep my eye on a tight budget. This is well worth the expense though.

Ordered these online because local stores no longer carry the water treatment for the Venta humidifier system. The Venta works great and is quiet, however it needs the water treatment to spread the water across the disks so it can evaporate. This treatment used to come in a bottle but now is available in individual packets. This product doesn't seem to cause brown sticky substance to build up on the water wheels. Not inexpensive but comparable to other humidifiers where you have to replace the filters. No filters on the Venta Humidifiers.

The fluid in the bottle and in the packets is exactly the same. The picture currently shown here is the packets. That is not what I received. I received a bottle. The packets are nice because there is no thinking required to figure out how much fluid to use. With the bottle, there are markers on the side, but I prefer a the packets. This isn't a big issue for me so I'm not returning, but I wanted other customers to be aware. I have notified Amazon and will update this review once the issue is addressed.

This is a necessary item if you are going to use the Venta Airwasher Humidifier successfully. It helps the impurities that are "air washed" to precipitate.

I have used this product for several years, and it is required by the manufacturer to maintain the 10 year warrenty. The product works well and the price was right.

Was happy to find the Venta Water Treatment Additive available on Amazon. The Venta Airwasher/humidier is harder to find in stores now, and since we've been enjoying the product, we were afraid Additive might be hard to get. Though it may not be essential to the use of the Airwasher and is rather overpriced, the additive does make for less calcification on the drums.

I use the Venta Airwasher for a vaporizer. The Treatment solution enables the Venta to work with tap water and makes it easy to clean.

We use this water treatment product routinely - every three weeks or so when our Venta Humifier is in use. It does a good job of dealing with the mineral deposits from our water and prevents us from doing a complete cleaning frequently. In fact, we only needed to use the cleaner after two years of regular use.

Product is great; I love the humidifier and this is the only treatment recommended. Just wish it was sold locally.
