An early 70's classic,

Ventura Highway was released in late 1972 and quickly became a big hit. Dewey Bunnell wrote the song and sings lead on it. It reached the top ten in the US, peaking at number 8 on the Billboard and Cashbox singles charts, number 7 on the Record World chart, and number 3 on the Adult Comtemporary chart. It is an acoustic-based classic, still receiving radio play on oldies and classic rock stations. This version of the song was remixed by legendary Beatles producer, George Martin for the History album, so it has a different sound than the original. I prefer the original (hence only 4 stars here).
