2010 collection from the late '50s teen idol and entertainer/actor. When Frankie Avalon emerged on the Chancellor Records label towards the end of the 1950s, the general impression was that he was a manufactured star, little more than a vehicle for label head Bob Marcucci. When Marcucci took almost exactly the same formula and made a star out of Fabian, it was seemingly confirmation. Yet all of this rather overlooked the fact that Frankie had been appearing on US television since the age of 12 and had performed with Bobby Rydell long before he launched a solo career. 12 tracks. Frankie Avalon sings previously unreleased songs in CD in this CD.One of the Best songs is "More" (The Theme Of "Mondo Cane").He also sings the song "Again" and the theme song of the movie he did "I'll Take Sweden" called "I'll take Sweden".Also is his Best known song "Venus" in this CD.Buy this CD if you like Frankie Avalon and these songs.The musical arrangements are good and he sings good.

With hits like "Why" and "Venus" paired with obscure, previously unreleased (on CD) songs such as "Days of Wine and Roses" and "Moon River" it's a random selection of songs, but this CD is well worth it. The songs "Again", "Days of Wine and Roses", "More (Theme from Mondo Cane)", "Moon River" are from the LP, "Frankie Avalon - Muscle Beach Party and Other Motion Picture Songs".

Definitely a must-have for any Frankie Avalon fan or 50's music fan.
