1st there was Thinking Plague, after there was Hail, but in between bob drake and susanna lewis released this little gem. Originally released in 1986 on Dead Man's Curve records in Europe under the moniker Corpses As Bedmates, this 1st time on CD issue has been painstakingly reconstructed from master tapes by bob himself. It is impossible to describe this music, however if Jan Svankmejer ever needed a soundtrack to construct a film around this would be it. highlights for me are 'as though through shadows', 'birds fly out' and 'fur man', genuinely creepy in a good way, this is a must buy for all you pop pickers out there.

Fur Man is my favorite track. It is a very strange piece that seems to be a masochistic love story between a woman and a baboon. Like the rest of the CD, it is a tenuous mix of beautiful writing and tedious drones in a very harsh recording style.

I find myself singing the chorus to Fur Man more often than I care to admit. But it is certainly eccentric.
