5.0 out of 5 stars The Amazing Octopus, April 14, 2013 By MEA
This review is from: The Amazing Octopus! Early Reader Books for Under 8's. Amazing facts and photos of some of the world's most intelligent animals. (Amazing Animals Early Reader Books) (Kindle Edition)
This is a good book to introduce nature to your child. There are interesting facts about the octopus and the pictures capture the child's mind. The words are easy for an eight year old to read without adult assistance yet this book can entertain both and share a special time together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun way to get your child to learn about animals! By K. Smith "Taaa!" (St. Louis, MO)
This review is from: Sharks! Shark Facts, Pictures and Links to Over 50 VIDEOS. Early Reader Shark Books for Kids (Amazing Animals Early Reader Book) (Kindle Edition)
I can't say enough about these books. All of the books by this author are amazing. They all give a general background of the animal and interesting facts about them. The best part is that they have usually 3 videos that you can click on and watch right there! These are great education tools and I think they are great for children (I read and watch them too!). If you're looking for a fun way for your child to learn about animals, these books are the way to go. You can sign up to receive emails from the author about promotional days that the books are free on amazon. But I think these books are definitely worth the price.

There is even a "True or False" section at the end of the book to bolster learning and boost the fun

Why not try some yourself? True or False?

1. Venus is the third planet from the Sun.
2. Venus is a rocky planet NOT a gas planet.
3. Venus is sometimes referred to as Earth’s twin planet.
4. Venus has no seasons - it is just hot all the time.
5. Venus is so bright that sometimes you can even see it during the day.
6. It takes Venus an average of 2,225 Earth days to travel around the Sun.
7. Venus is sometimes called the morning star.
8. Venus is sometimes called the evening star.
9. Venus is sometimes called the lunchtime star.
10. Venus is covered by thick clouds of acid.

She loves learning factoids about nature, and DEVOURED this book. And can still recite data from it months later. She still opens it up to read every now and again, proclaiming that "Venus is the coolest planet ever!"

5.0 out of 5 stars Earth`s twin planet December 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Very informative book. I've been fascinated by astronomy since childhood. Space and the Universe is my passion, I love reading on this topic. I learned from this book some new facts that I didn`t know before. For example the surface of Venus is covered by thick layer of acid, it looks like clouds and even light can`t get through it...amazing! Highly recomended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing facts about Venus! December 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Great fact book about Venus! Lots of beautiful pictures in this book that give you a clear idea of how this planet looks. I had no idea how hot Venus is, even though it has been called Earth's twin! If your kids love space, this will be the perfect book for them! It even includes a quiz at the end as an added bonus.
