These spindles are media code "MKM-A02" manufactured by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Verbatim's parent company) in Taiwan.

Discs work flawlessly, though I stupidly didn't realize my burner won't burn +RW at 4X, so I have to burn them at 2.4X for now.

Other than that, Verbatim once again makes reliable media with a lifetime warranty that I actually trust my data backups to.

This review applies only to data storage and not video. In fact, DVD+RW is more suitable for data storage. For video application, DVD-RW is more suitable. I have been using this writing surface for data storage for the past three months. The reason I refrained from writing a review for this product sooner is due to my very bad experience with Memorex 16X-24X CD-RW in which all recorded data( 15 discs in all, ie 15 out of 15 ) would become unrecognizable within a few weeks. The Verbatim DVD+RW is a reliable surface. So far I have not had a coaster, or encountered writing error during burning, or unexpected loss of recorded data. Some discs I have rewritten 10 times over while others I have appended new data to without erasing existing data on the disc, and the most important fact is the data stays and has not become corrupted. I highly recommend this disc for data storage because of its reliability. The price of this disc is slightly on the high side though. On a price per disc basis, the 30-disc spindle is more economical compared to the 10-disc pack and may be a better choice if one ever needs that many 4.7GB discs.

I've seen others coaster from day 1 and I've seen others coaster after day 60 (after an actual succesfull write!) but these are absolutely awesome. Highly reliable ... long-term.

I have been usung these dvd+rw disc for about two months now and I have not had a problem with them yet.

I have at least 20 re-writes on each of these discs so far and no problems! They are worth the little bit of extra cost. One tip though, when erasing a DVD+RW or DVD-RW, do not use the quick erase, always use the full erase, this will insure a longer life for your discs.

Great DVDs, CDs - You can feel the quality, made by Mitsubishi Chemicals. Have used 50 DVD+R so far, played on different DVD players. Works Great. use Sonic software with it, it is simple to use.

it is more expensive but worth it. No Coasters at all ! But don;t pay more than a $1.25-$1.50 per DVD+R.

I have had occasional write errors with other brands, although admittedly I have not tried them all. But Verbatim media is always reliable. I have written over 200 data DVD's on Verbatim media without a single error.

The Verbatim brand works perfectly on all my equipment. IMPORTANT REMINDER: When using with your computer to burn a movie; ALL RW"S require burning at a slow speed. If you keep your burner on High, your movie may skip. Lower your burn speed and you will be impressed with the beautiful copies.

Great quality of blank discs. Be sure to check whether or not your drive can write on these discs. My drive can write it but at the lowest speed, which took me some time to figure out. Haven't had any problems since buying them at end of August 2007 and I've used about half of them. They can be expensive but if you find a bargain then buy them.

Verbatim DVD+RW 4.7GB 4X 10pk Jewel Case They arrived on Tuesday 1 Dec, I needed to burn some discs. I opened one disc, started burning, everything seems to be normal until the burning software stopped responding. No answer after half an hour, I restarted my Macbook, my superdrive was crashed it disappeared from my hardware list, and I could not even retrieve the disc. I take out the disc after restarting twice more and recover my superdrive later. First thought that a hardware problem, then try the same disc in another macbook, he luckily saved his superdrive, but he either do any burning on the disc. Then on a Compaq (HP) windows laptop, same problem. That disc was defective. I need the discs, so my friend recommended me to ask for replacement, I decided to open another disc and try it. This time files were burned but did not pass the verification, when I try to use the files, it was error, defective one again. I conclude that all are defective, I leave the other 8 discs unopened, I returned them on Wednesday Dec 2 by UPS. These discs are probably fake Verbatim discs, I have used more than 400 Verbatim DVD+R , about 50 Verbatim DVD-R and 15 Verbatim DVD+RW, they are the most reliable disc ever, never any of the Rewritable ones falled... no one before 1000 writings. I know what are defective. This is my first time buying discs from Amazon.com, and they send me defective discs that wasted my time and put my macbook in trouble. Very disappointing.

I bought a lot of stuff from amazon.com, this is the first time that I receive a defective product, and this is my first review, just to warn people about this probably fake product.

And I am waiting for my refund, I didnt receive it yet.
