Users of other brands complained of having to reinstall a mouse occasionally. By contrast, the Verbatim Bluetooth mouse works every time, and it was easy to install. Though the cursor is jumpy at high speed, slowing it down requires only a push on a button. Both disposable and rechargeable batteries work. The on-off switch is tiny, but I can use it just fine.
A mouse for use with portable computers could be smaller and lighter if it ran on AAA batteries, but that's a minor quibble.
I curse a lot less now that I do not have to use my netbook's touchpad which does things, like switching to other windows, that I don't want. Not only is the mouse more reliable, it is much more comfortable to use. As an added bonus, this device costs less than most of its competitors--quite a bargain.

It has a good size and shape, I found it very comfortable to use. The batteries (leaving the mouse ON most of the time) last about 3 months. Connected very easily to the laptop (bluetooth). Seems to work well on most surfaces. I like to calibrate for high sensitivity so you don't have to move the mouse much and this mouse works well in that mode. I recommend this mouse - good for the value.

I've been using this mouse for just about one month. Initially I had no trouble getting the bluetooth connection to sync with my MacBook Pro. Today I turned the mouse on and tried to connect to my laptop as I always do, but it wouldn't connect. The batteries seemed dead, so I replaced them with fresh, new, name-brand batteries. The mouse still won't connect to my laptop. So now I'd say it's unreliable at best, useless at worst. (Update: It's working again now for no apparent reason but failed when I really needed it.)

While it was working, it was just average. The laser-tracking was good, almost too good at a distance, making it difficult to reposition by lifting up from the desk without moving the cursor. Range was good; I could use it from about 10 feet away from my laptop with no problem. I didn't test its range limits. It does wake up from it's power-saving mode quickly.

The ergonomics aren't great. The mouse buttons require more force than I'd like. The scroll wheel's side scrolling is awkward because the wheel barely protrudes from the housing. There are some sharp edges that start to get uncomfortable after extended use. Also the stickers on the bottom of the mouse were misaligned and are rubbing off from friction as a result. The on/off switch seems cheap, and the 4 little mouse riser nubs also seem small and cheap and not made to last. They've already worn down noticeably over just one month of use on a smooth, clean desktop. I had high hopes for this mouse and did like it's looks. In the end, it was just average in design and below average in quality.

Also, the retail packaging for this item was really excessive and difficult to open without completely destroying it.

I use this device for working on my MacBook Pro, first it was working just fine, but suddenly, one day it stopped connecting to my Mac.
I changed the batteries, but nothing happened. Now it connects, but as soon as it does, I have a Kernel Panic message, and I must restart my computer.
All my other bluetooth devices work fine, so it's not a computer problem.

I really liked this mouse, but then one day it just stopped working. I've done everything I can to get it to work again, but it refuses to reconnect to my computer. Because of this issue, I can't actually recommend this to anyone else, despite its good qualities.

I feel it is slightly overpriced...has connectivity issues with my dell inspiron...suddenly the connection drops and regains all by itself...if it doesn't, flip the on/off button. Not as comfortable as a mouse with wireless dongle.
