SIMPLICITY!,

The Verbatim PhotoSave DVD-R is wonderful! Simply insert in your computer's dvd writer and the self contained software guides you every simple step of the way. We chose to scan our entire computer of all drives for all .jpg format pictures. The Verbatim PhotoSave found over 5,500! One click and all .jpg files were copied to the Verbatim PhotoSave disc for safe keeping. This is a great gift for anyone who stores pictures on their computer and wants a safe backup. You can add photos as needed. Buy it!

Good Idea, works as described. Don't get it shipped by USPS. took me 10 days to get product when it was about 90 miles away the next day after they shipped it to me. which the company shipped it fast. Post office is the worst way possible to ship something.

This item works exactly as advertised. I've even been able to add photos to the last disc and it lets me know when that disc is full and I need to insert an additional one.

I have used the product before so I expected it to be fine. What did impress me was the customer service of the sender. Apparently the post office had problems delivering the package and kept it going between different postal stations. When I notified the sender company that I had not received the package, they immediately sent me another, via Federal Express, at no charge. Now that's good customer service

I found the whole process effortless. It is a 1-2-3 step process. There is no software to install. Insert the DVD, the software searches for the photos and click the record button. I tried the manual mode to consolidate photos that I had saved on various flash and USB drives. It just a matter of navigating the easy to use interface to the appropriate drive, select the photos you want to save and press the record button. The Photo Save DVD supports multiple recording sessions allowing you to add more photos later. The disk recognizes more than 80 different photo file formats and you can store approximately 2000 photos.
You know how vulnerable photos can be on a Harddrive, with the PhotoSave DVD you can make multiple copies of your photos easily and affordable. Every so often a new product hits the markets and literally blows your socks off. Such is the case with Vebatim's PhotoSave DVD which the company is promoting as `the effortless way to preserve your memories. Digital cameras today afford you the opportunity to amass huge amount of pictures. You want to keep these precious memories in a safe a secure place. When was the last time you were looking at your favorite pictures on your harddrive and thought about backing them up but wish you did not have to buy an additional HD and mess with complicated backup software? Now you have it.

Review by Joseph Kluepfel KPCC
The Verbatim PhotoSaveDVD is a recordable disc for automatically finding and saving your pictures and videos from your camera or PC, easily, simply and quickly. The DVD contains self-starting software to find the pictures and automatically burn them on the DVD, just pop the DVD into the PC (Sorry, no MAC yet), choose automatic or manual, and it's done. The PC must have a DVD writer, not a CD writer and it must be a DVD-R, not a DVD+R. Every PhotoSaveDVD has the burning software pre-installed and it is not installed on the PC. It cannot be copied onto a blank DVD. In the Automatic mode and the pictures are already on the PC, the software will find them and burn them automatically. Simple and quick. In the Automatic mode only pictures with the JPEG extension can be found. One BIG disadvantage. When the Automatic mode is chosen, the DVD is closed after the pictures are burned and no additional pictures can be added. The full capacity of the DVD is not used. Your other choice is Manual, in which you can connect the camera or insert a memory card into the PC or choose the pictures or videos on the PC that you want to burn on the DVD. In the Manual mode, over 40 types of picture files and over 50 types of video files can be found .Another benefit of the Manual mode is that the DVD remains unclosed (if that's a proper word) so that additional pictures can be burned later on. If you are saving a lot of pictures or videos that are enormous in size, the PhotoSaveDVD software will advise that the files exceed a DVD capacity and will automatically set up the use of multiple discs. PhotoSaveDVDs must be used for the additional discs. System Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista [...]

The PhotoSave DVDs are the best thing since sliced cheese. They are easy to use, don't require software to be installed, and make a backup of all your precious photos for you. I like that when in manual mode you are able to add photos so you don't waste space. I feel they are an excellent price for the product and peace of mind you get when you have your photos backed up.
