5.0 out of 5 stars A great value.
DVD RAM disks are not commonly available at most retailers, and when they are, one is asked to pay an arm and a leg. These appear to be every bit as good as any on the market. With Amazon's incredible pricing and quick delivery, the Verbatim DVDs are a truly great value.

I like DVD-Rams because you can record and erase many times. I record quite a bit and have gone through many DVD's. I bought these because they were cheaper than the panasonic DVD-Rams. Unfortunately the Verbatim DVDs did not last nearly as long as the panasonics. I was only able to record 4 times before the disk failed. I had to cut sections from my recording to...

I searched all over to try to find some discs that would work without a Hitachi DVD type camcorder that was given to me. There are any number of non-rewritable discs that work; however, they have to be formatted--and specially "finalized" before they can be desirably be used. Furthermore, oftentimes, their space cannot be efficiently used; plus, one has to continue to purchase the media. Obviously, the best option is to find rewritable discs. With rewritable desks, there are a number of other useful camcorder recording options not available with the DVD-R discs.

Regular DVD-RW discs won't work. The RAM discs are required. Again, finding them was a nightmare. Sometimes, when I found what "might" work, it was/they were expensive and the nature of the product is such that it can't really be returned after opening.

I was tickled when I found these at this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IIF8OW/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title
The product picture showed right on the front that these would work with Hitachi and Panasonic recorders. When I received the product, it did not look like the picture but the discs work--and perfectly. Not only that, they were reasonably priced--and are double-sided!
I'm very pleased with the product and the delivery time was very reasonable.

Maybe this was just a bad disk, but it is not worth it for me to try again.
