It is super small and fits on a key ring.

The flash drive better be tough because the microchip portion that plugs into the USB is exposed constantly; there is no cover at all to protect it.

Hi, I had two of them and the second one is now also stopped working after about 2 month.

Small, to an extent, is usually a good thing. This one is actually slightly smaller than an SD card, with an unshielded USB connector; it works fine on both my MacBook and my Roku, so that's good. It can also fit inside the pocket in my digital camera case without even being really noticeable. It is nice that it's small enough to use as a keychain, and unlike the SanDisk Cruzer Fit I reviewed a while back, although the Verbatim drive isn't close to low-profile, it does manage to be a usable general purpose flash drive.

However, when you get right down to it, I'm not convinced this is the right way to design things like this. The number one problem is the fact that the unshielded connector is not keyed to prevent insertion upside down; I think the recent example of Apple's new Lightning connector makes a very good case for placing identical contacts on both sides of the plug so it doesn't matter which way you put it in. Also, the smooth plastic makes it somewhat more difficult than necessary to actually extract the drive when you're done with it; I'm not sure why it didn't occur to the manufacturer to put some kind of ridges or rough spots to make it easier to grip, especially when you've accidentally jammed it in upside down.

It's hard to really get excited about the aesthetics and ergonomics of flash drives, but as these things shrink, the ergonomics are becoming more and more relevant. Verbatim didn't quite nail this one, but really, unless you have motion problems in your hands, this isn't going to be a huge issue. (On the other hand, if you do, buy a bigger flash drive.)

I have not had this item for long, but have used it to copy 28MB of files to my new computer. I have used it several times in the short time I have had it. It worked quite well. My only reservation is that I had the 16GB model that died after using it 4 times. I hope this one lasts longer. I love keeping it on my key chain and its small size. Would I trust my most valuable documents on this if it were the only device I had, in a word...no as the 16GB modes died.

Sure it's sleek and sexy, but how does it hold up in the niche for which it was designed? Not that well, in my experience.

This little drive has a great form factor, and goes well on a keychain. But the plastic housing just doesn't hold up. I started seeing significant scratching of the plastic in under a month of just having it on a keychain. In month 2 or 3, a small piece of the housing had actually chipped away. It is no longer water resistant, that's for sure. I don't see this thing lasting more than 6 months for any sort of reliable data storage.

I had gotten this to replace my metal-housed Pico C. Now I'm sort of preferring the Pico again. It held up better.
For a drive of this type, it really has to be more durable. It's not like an external hard drive that just sits on a desk or in a drawer.

That said, my drive still technically functions, and for that I am giving 3 stars. For a 4 or 5 star portable drive, look elsewhere.

The Verbatim Store'n'Go Micro is the coolest Flash Drive I've ever owned. Number 1: it's lime green. Number 2: it's downright miniscule. At 8GB, it's the perfect size for home, school or work. (I'm using mine to back up my personal writings.) The Store 'n' Go Mirco is to tiny that fits into the *pocket* of my coin purse; and I used the lanyard to make it into a fashionable drop earring.

I live in a part of the country where there are devastating wildfires every year. I'm recommending the Store 'n' Go Mirco Flash Drive to the members of our Home Owners' Association as an easy way to back up their important papers, doctor's phone numbers, etc., in case of evacuation. It's easy to use and even easier to store.

I love my wee, lime green Flash Drive. It's 8GB of portable storage and wearable art, too.

I didn't think there was anything about a flash drive that could impress me anymore but this one did. This is hands down the smallest and thinnest flash drive I have ever seen. You have to hold this thing to truly appreciate how small it is. You can carry it in your wallet or on a key chain completely unnoticed. It fact it's so small that I think it would be easy to lose. I can't believe it's 8 GB! As far as functionality, it works great. It's very fast and there's no annoying software on it. It fits snugly in the USB port even though it looks like it won't, it's quite solid, and the green color I got is very cool looking. For $12 you can't beat this.

This thing is TINY! I wasn't sure how it would fit into a USB port, but it slides right in with no problem (and takes up about half of the port). It stays in snug just like a regular flash drive. The first thing I did was load a bunch of files onto it; it's amazing that considering the size of this flash drive, it holds 8G. That's HUGE. I loaded almost 7G of files on to it right away and it was a little slow, but that's because of how much I put on it in that first use.

The product details claim that the flash drive is water-resistant; since I'm a Vine reviewer and it's my job to test the items I get, I took the flash drive and fully submerged it into a cup of water for 5 seconds. I dried it off and then plugged it back into my computer- my comp had no problems reading the flash drive, and I randomly picked a few files to open- no corruption!

The product also claims to be travel-tough. The flash drive better be tough because the microchip portion that plugs into the USB is exposed constantly; there is no cover at all to protect it. I keep a flash drive on my keys at all times, and this micro one is going to replace my regular-sized flash drive. If anything ever happens to the micro flash drive, I will come back and update my review...but if it can stand a good dunking, I think it'll be ok with constant abuse as a keychain.

I seriously think the only way you could ruin this thing is by flat-out losing it. It's so compact and tiny that stepping on it or dropping it probably won't cause any damage at all. I am definitely impressed, and I would recommend this to anyone!
