5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than a book.
As a beginner into the Spanish language keeping the conjugation of verb straight is a tough job for regular verb and much more difficult for the irregular verbs.

I'm trying to remember where tuve and estuve fit into the conjugation scheme with one of the 501 or 555 verb books.

As a beginner into the Spanish language keeping the conjugation of verb straight is a tough job for regular verb and much more difficult for the irregular verbs.

I'm trying to remember where tuve and estuve fit into the conjugation scheme with one of the 501 or 555 verb books.

With this program I can quickly check the infinitive verb and verify where it belongs.

I also like the dual language feature so I can see the English translations along side the Spanish conjugations.

It has a dozen different levels that you can select to show very few conjugations to every conjugation they have. Each level is customizable to your specifications and for each level you can also select the "return to the original" if you mess stuff up.

They also have levels for the 501 and 555 verb books which emulate there verbs and formats.

Unlike the books that refer you to a basic conjugation pattern for any verb not included in the 501 or 555 books, this program shows full conjugation for 2600 verbs so you don't have to mess around with conjugating your verb.

My one gripe and I may just not know how to do it yet, is that I can't find out how to type in, e.g., tuve and have it find the correct infinitive verb.

I like it and would buy it again.

8/21/2011 EDIT: They seem to have deleted the Spanish only version that this review is about and offer the Spanish English version that I do like.

This company has 6 different products that look very much alike.

They sell the program for Spanish only, English only, and the combination of both English and Spanish.

In addition, they also sell each of these versions in a single user or multi user version, making that 6 versions of the one program.

The cost difference between either of the single versions and the dual version is $5.

I missed this fact and got the Spanish only version. Restocking this version and buying the correct version costs a 50% restocking fee.

Enough complaining about the confusion.

I like the Spanish/English version very much.

I'm just getting my feet wet with Spanish and having the program on the computer allows me to look at any verb in any of the tenses in a flash.

I'm at that point where I still have to look at the irregular verbs to make sure what's being said and this program does it very well.

I'm not using my 501 or 555 verb books anymore because this is a lot faster.

I'd buy the dual version again. $5 for the English translations are a bargin.

I don't see why they market 6 versions. I can understand 2, but the other 4 don't make sense to me.

Another good Spanish verb learning program is the Verberrator which is $57 and sold by the folks at Learning Spanish Like Crazy.

I have both now and recommend both of them.
