Very nice mat. I use it for my 10-month old for a floor matt to cushion the enevitable falls. I have converted the front entrance as his play yard with a gate to minimize him getting into unsafe areas of the house. I find he enjoys taking his afternoon naps on it too as it does not get cold like other flooring options would.
Being he is 10 months old, he does put the matt in his mouth and attempt to chew it, but so far, has not been able to tear it...THAT I AM THANKFUL FOR.
Certainly the pieces come apart, and he has now learned to do that, so each night I am putting back the 'puzzle' in no particular order of course.
Perhaps for future use, offer a play mat out of the same material that offers 4 large pieces that are put together vs all these small ones...will help parents when needing to clean up.

We bought two sets of the Alphabet Foam Play Mats - so glad we did! We have a concrete basement floor, and now the kids have a nice, colorful, and soft place to play. Plus, the foam floor isn't as cold as the concrete - wer're in Colorado. The colors are great - so inviting. The pieces fit together perfectly, and the border gives it a finished look. Great purchase! We'll probably buy more so that we can increase the size of the play area!

We returned these because the letters popped out. We were buying them for our daughter , 6 mos, so she would have a soft surface to crawl on. However, the letters kept popping out. This item would be great if they did not pop out.
