Verdi: Otello (2 CD/CD-ROM)is a recording under the direction of the one and only Herbert Von Karajan who leads the Berlin Philharmoniker on this EMI Records Ltd recording from 1974. Charles Osborne has written a very well-written essay entitled "Othello: an Introduction" and also written a very informative synopsis. The lyrics are only available in Italian and the booklet is 79 pages. Jon Vickers is amazing in his role as Otello and it is truly a pleasure to such a fine tenor. Highly recommended. 5/5.
