Everyone who visits my garden especially on a windy day is mesmerized by this kinetic pinwheel spinner. When spinning it is wonder to your eyes and mind and in a non-spinning mode it still a thing of beauty. This is a very well made product from India. The stake is heavy duty and the overall height is perfect. Putting it together is quite easy. When it spins it creates an optical illusion since it spins both clockwise as well as counterclockwise at the same time. Being near the ocean, we have a lot of windy days. I can honestly say of all of the wind devices in my garden, this is my favorite.

ok looks great online..in truth it's pretty much decent looking junk.

20mph winds today and nothing.... not one spinning wheel, it's too heavily made for anything but gale force winds to move this...the petal braces are solid brass or steel, which makes it very heavy to move with wind power.

It arrived all bent up, easy but annoying to fix, the mounting hardware has begun to rust in one rain shower, the stand is basically twisted railing with a c shaped bracket at the bottom to "help" with stability.

If you want this to move you'll need to buy a small engine to mount in the center to drive this thing. Again decent looking junk! enjoy the photo because this is what you will see with this item...it will only move in a storm.

The Pinwheel is fine, but the stand is too flimsy. Ended up cutting off the 3 spikes and mounting it to a fence post using 3/4" PVC with a cap for the bottom, works perfect and will not blow over.

Oh how we love our kinetic spinner. My hubby put it together easily. The long stand the blades spin on is twisted metal... the effect artistically in synch with the spinning blades rotating opposite of each other, creating the "worm hole" effect. We sunk it deep into the garden on the south side of the house and it held up without a problem. At times we just sit on the porch and watch it sipping our coffee with out a word. We have taken it down for the winter gales in one piece to rest inside the potting shed against the wall for next Spring. I am totally bewildered by the reviews here. Its as if they did not get the same wonderful item I did. I too would have thought it did not spin well, until my hubby began GENTLY cupping the blades to adjust them best with the wind....Which the directions clearly point out to do. It works perfectly.

It's nice to look at, but one knob will not stay on. This was bought in June 2012, and Ancient Graffiti still has not sent a replacement.

This thing may work where the wind gusts 30 to 40 mph, but not here in Georgia. The only time we have seen it spin is during thunderstorms. Not worth the price. I will look local if I ever decide to get another spinner.

We saw a different more expensive version of this while on vacation and looked for a similar more affordable version. I ordered this one for our front yard and the willow copper spinner for our backyard. I was a little apprehensive given the reviews on this one. The copper spinner worked immediately and appears more sturdy. This one has a thinner pole and needed more work to get it to work. A surprise to me was that the two wheels came in two pieces that we had to screw together. It may have helped to have the copper spinner as a model when gently bending the vanes, but it still took several tries. Then it moved, but the spinner didn't seem to turn past the screws. I worried that I might have to return it. A little more bending and we were able to get one side to spin, and with a few more tries, the second side.
Now it works like a champ. I like the look of this dahlia wind spinner. The brown weathered patina matches the other welcome metal art sign that we have in our front walkway. Our neighbors love looking at it too. I do wish that the post was a little more heavy duty and that the spinner wheel had come in one piece, but the price is also reflective. One bearing joint is a little crooked (I don't really know how to describe this), but I can't say that it has been a problem. It has been in our yard for about 2 months now and seems to spin nearly as well as the copper. We have really enjoyed it!

delivery was fast, thats about the only good thing. unpacked item and as one person before me commented, blades were bent, stand is not very solid, and it will not spin. Must have to be very windy,(like a tornado or hurricane). Makes a good garden decoration. Not pleased at all. guess I got burned on this one.UPDATE. 05-15-12 Came home today and found one of the blades laying one the ground. So out of balance now it just wobbles. Contacted seller and they offered a replacement wheel or a refund. took refund.
