Nice Punk Rock from Belgium Boys..., May 12, 2008

Note: I would have given this 4 stars if someone else hadn't of misused the review section to lodge a customer complaint about not receiving the product and they gave the album 1 star which was just wrong. Amazon should have a mechanism in place to remove such injustices.
This is the second album by by the two pairs of brothers from Belgium. In 2003 they won the Eurovision talent contest for writing and performing a song called "De Vriendschapsband". It was a high energy punk influenced song with a very catchy tune. Check out the video on You Tube.
For Vergif, the boys are trying for a bit harder edge. They incorporate some English in some of their lyrics like on "Sorry". Also it should be noted that they write their own material. These guys are very talented and hopefully will break out in the U.S. now that they are moving toward an alternative/punk rock. Their latest song (Dec 2007) is about the environment and was selected as the theme for the 2008 Eurovision talent contest.
