Died After Two Months,
This review is from: Verizon V100AM-1 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Five Handset Capability (Silver) (Office Product)
This is a terrible phone. We bought this and the apparently the base went bad after two months. Followed all the instructions in the manual to see if were missing something and we could never get the phones to work once that happened. What a waste!
I should have known something when the girl at the store kept asking if I wanted to pay the extra money for the insurance. Wish I would've listened to her now!! :-(

I bought this phone to replace my phone at work. It works and does what I need it to do so I don't have too many complaints. Had I bought this phone for home use...I would not be a happy camper. The number pad is hard to use. I can dial numbers and everything, but there's a slight sticking that occurs when a number is compressed. The main thing that irritates me is that the phone hangs up when it passes the antenna associated with my radio on my desk. What I have to do every morning when I come in is take the handset out of the cradle and put it in a place where it won't come in contact with the antenna. I'm not sure why this is...maybe a frequency issue, but nonetheless it is what it is. I shouldn't have to buy a phone to use at work anyway so I looked for the cheapest phone I could and I got what I paid for.

I'm disappointed with this Verizon phone. I've owned it for four months and now I'm unable to use and receive calls. It's past the 30 day return date and now I'm shopping for another land-line phone and stuck with a phone that doesn't work. Save your money and look elsewhere!

This phone's range is fantastic ...well over 100 yards! I use it with a headset to keep my hands free while I "roam" and talk. And the clarity is great. The compact base/answering machine works perfectly. Lots of other features too. I love it!

I was looking for a quality phone that was easy to use. Found it. The base and the handset are thought out and functional. It's probably one of the nicest looking phones on the market and the sound is excellent. It also has a backlit keypad and a simple and clear LCD. Although it has the Verizon brand on it I'm pretty sure its made by Seimens. I can't find anything I don't like except that its made in China. The Irony is I had a Seimens about 10 years ago that was made in USA go figure. So if you want form and function, buy it.

These phones seem to be high tech ( and with the money I spent one them) they should be. There is no blocking feature so I can block unwanted calls from coming in or going out. The ring tones are not as loud as most phones are and I have all of them turned to the highest settings. Can any one tell me if an how to make this specific phone reject numbers? ( other than hanging up on them LOL. Maybe we should all get together and send Verizon a letter letting them know how dis a pointed we are with their phones. Have done this with other products and I received an up grade from the old one that I had. Thanks and if any one is interested in starting a petition email me at tomlb1977@gmail.com write petition in the subject line.

Please note; Verizon operating instructions will direct you to verizon.com for problems, But the customer service agent and supervisor both told me that Verizon does not support any Verizon product not bought directly from them. They in fact referred me to Amazon for assistance in charging up this phone despite the fact that Amazon sells products from a variety of different manufacturers who make a variety of models. I concluded that the phone was defective. After about 3 hours on the Verizon website and phone calls to Verizon and Amazon, Amazon refunded my money and reverse shipping charges in full. Amazon admitted that they did not know that Verizon will not support their products even if they are "new." Frustrating and miserable waste of time. By the way, the phone is very light weight and probably easy to accidently fall - if so, there is only a 30-day warranty and it is issued by Amazon. Before you buy an electronic product, call the manufacturer first to check product support and warranty info.

First off since the VT100 with the base and an extra handset is less than the replacement battery for my old Motorola I figured I wouldn't have a lot of room to be disappointed.
Pros: Great range and sound quality. Absolutely no interference anywhere in the house or yard. Solid build, but the back battery panel is a little difficult to get off. BIG PRO - It uses standard NiMH AAA rechargeable batteries. I had this phone up and running in 5 minutes using the batteries I already had instead of having to wait for the ones that came with it to charge fully. I charged them in my charger overnight. Did I mention the price for a replacement battery on my old phone system? Sleek design and appearance. Cons: Buttons on the phone are a little stiff and the menu system is not the most user friendly. Base is very minimalistic in features. Over all for the price, I went with a Refurb and saved a couple dollars, I am very happy. 4.5 stars.

I have purchased a number of land line phones from many different manufacturers over the years. None were satisfactory-poor auditory, not ergonomically designed or aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, the price point of this Verizon model was excellent.
